I use a triggle charcher from auto zone costing R170 consuming only 500mA meaning you connect it to your boats batterys and forget about it until you use your boat again. You only need a device that can condition your batterys needing no other functions. In my opinion the Ctek charger is an excelent product but it has too many other functions that isn't neccessary for boats unless your charging system does'nt work (witch is why they are so expensive). ![]() Thirdly the ownly way to combat sulfation is to repeatedly drain and recharge the battery continiously. Just be sure you don't buy a bat with the same specs and half the price it might be a recon looking brand new. Thirdly all the top brand batterys will give you the same lifespan when treated correctly with the only difference being small cosmetics and being able to seal properly. Secondly most boats that uses batterys for the most important function - starting the motors, stands for long periods of time. Firstly ALL lead acid batterys starts sulfating (oxidation that causes the plates to isolate from the electrolite mix in the bat) when not in use regardless of brand or price.
